David Frawley (Swami Vamdev) on Swami Dayanand, founder of Aryasamaj

This global Vedic movement arises from a 'Return to the Vedas movement' which began in earnest in 19th Century India. The first major impetus for a Vedic revival in Modern India came from the 'Arya Samaj' founded by Swami Dayanand Saraswati in the nineteenth century. The Aryasamaj remains one of the largest movements in the modern Hinduism and is based on a study and practice of Vedic teachings going back to the Rig-veda.
